My “Lonely Planet” for Costa Rico says, “Home to what may be the longest left-handed break on the planet, Pavones is a legendary destination for surfers the world over…This is Costa Rica’s southernmost point.”
When you return, I’m going to quiz you on how you got from Matapalo to Drake Bay, where you went up a cliff (with help) to reach a car which I thought took you to Pavone (rather than the motor boat) via 3 or 4 hours of poor roads. I missed something, but now have a pretty good map of the Puntarenas area.
